Chicken Tikka

Chicken tikka is a chicken dish and its origin is South Asia where it remains so popular in both India and Pakistan . Chicken Tikka usually make with boneless chicken . Chicken Tikka is easy to make and also tasty spicy starters food item or main course . Chicken Tikka is a famous street food of India specially Lucknow, Delhi and Hyderabad Boneless chicken coating in a flavored paste and then grilled on the microwave. Chicken Tikka mostly served in parties and family gatherings as starters .

Serves 2 Preparation : 40 Mins Cooking : 12 Mins

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless chicken : 500 Gm
First Marinade
  • Lemon Juice/Vinegar - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Second Marinade
  • Curd - 1/2 Cup
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • Cashew nuts- 8-10 (Ground to powder/paste)
  • Thick Milk Cream - 1/4 Cup
  • Cornflour - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - 3/4 tsp
  • Chopped Coriander - 2 tbsp
  • Khada garam masala powder : 1tbsp ( Black peppercorns, mace, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, green cardamom, bay leaf )

Method:

  • Wash and pat dry the boneless chicken
  • Make 2/3 cuts on each side of all pieces
  • Marinate chicken with first marinade for 30 Mins.
  • Mix ingredients of second marinade in a bowl
  • Add chicken pieces and do not add the liquid of chicken remains in first marinate
  • Second Marinate for 30 Mins

Before Serve :

  • Grease flat borosil glass dish
  • Place the marinated chicken on it
  • Cook on combination mode (Microwave 200W + Grill) for 5-10 Mins
  • Or Cook till it turn into Golden
  • Cook on combination mode (Microwave 480W + Grill) for 5 Mins if not cook properly
  • Serve it with Green chutney and Green salad /Onion ,lemon and green chilli .
