Kach-Kola khosha Bhaja (Raw Banana Peel Fry)

Usually we throw out the raw banana peels after making some food using raw banana . Raw banana peel fry (kachkala khosa bhaja) is quick and easiest food . I came to know about this recipe from my Mother-in-low. My family absolutely loves this dish. Raw banana fry can eat with rice and roti . It is very tasty and healthy food. It is the simplest Bengali recipe.  Easy to cook and bring anywhere like office, while travailing or school with Roti (Indian Bread ) ,paratha . Try it at home.   •  Fine chopped raw banana peel  - 2 cups
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seed or Panch phoron - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  • green chillies - 2 Optional
  • salt to taste
  • First peel the skin and fine chopped the raw banana.
  • In a pan add 2 tbsp of oil
  • Add the cumin seeds or you can use panch phoron* in hot oil.
  • Add chopped raw banana to the pan.
  • Add chopped green chillies if you want
  • Then add turmeric, salt and Close the pan with lid .
  • Cook on low flame for 4 to 5 minutes until the raw banana peel  is cooked well and tender
  • Add chopped coriander leaves.
  • Tasty raw banana peel fry is ready.
  • you can decorate it using Kadi patta or curry leaves
  • Serve with hot white rice or roti or paranthas .
