Broken wheat is called as dalia in the North India. Broken wheat or dalia is used in India for making many type of sweets as well as nice dishes. Oats dalia is very easy to digest and good for health of Kids as well as adults . In our daily diets we usually miss to take care of our diet. Ingredients:

  • Oat meal – 1/2 cup
  • Dalia – 1 cup
  • Water – 3-4 cups
  • Oil or Ghee or butter  – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Lightly dry roast the oats & dalia in a warm pan/ kadai on low to medium heat for 3-5  minutes till it turns light pink.
  • Add salt and oil or ghee and mix properly
  • Add 3-4 cups of water gradually, stirring all the time.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for a minute or so.
  • Adjust the quantity of water according to taste.
  • Now oatmeal dalia is ready.
  • Have it with any curry ,daal or milk etc
