Oats Tikki

Oats tikki or cutlets recipe which is an easy to make and a healthy snack. Oats help us to prevent us from high blood pressure , cholesterol , diabetes, heart disease, gallstones and even cancer. It is very good snack for tea time or breakfast , today lets see low fat version of  Oats Cutlet. Oats tikkis will give delight feelings with one cup of tea. Take sugar free tea if you are diabetic. This oats tikki is easy and tasty snack and rich in fiber because of oats, rich in protein because of moong (Mung) dal and  a range of Indian spices to make a perfect health treat or snack item. Oats tikki can be served with a healthy green chutney or Tomato Sauce.  We can also serve this delicious oats tikkis to our guests and surprise them with Healthy cutlets as i did for one of my best friend and they are really surprised that how can oats be too much tasty :) .   • Yellow moong dal  - 1/2 cup
  • Oats - 1/2 cup
  • Curds (dahi) - 2 tbsp
  • Onions(grated) - 3 tbsp
  • Green chillies ( finely chopped ) - 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder (haldi) - 1/4 tsp
  •  Ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste - 1 tsp
  • Coriander finely chopped (dhania) - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for greasing and cooking - 2 tsp
Method:
  • Clean and wash the dal before boiling it in cooker with one cup of water until soft and then coarsely mash the dal and keep it ready.
  • Transfer the mash dal to a bowl, add all the  ingredients and mix properly.
  • Divide the mixture into 6 equal parts and shape them into round and flat tikkis/patties shape.
  • Heat a non stick pan/tava grease it with half teaspoon of oil and cook the tikkis over medium low flame . Flip the cooked tikkis to cook on other side till golden brown. Remove the cooked Oats  Tikki from flame.
  • Serve this yummy Oats  Tikki with green chutney or Tomato Sauce.
Note:
  • If you wish to deep fry also can do it .
