“Panch Phoron” is refer to five seeds and one of the main ingredient found in Bengali kitchen. It is a whole spice blend used region wise in Bangladesh, Eastern India and Southern Nepal especially in their cuisine.condiments on. It is mix of following five seeds .

  1. fennel seed
  2. fenugreek seed
  3. black mustard seed
  4. nigella seed
  5. cumin seed

To make this traditional spice mix just need to mix all ingredients listed above in equal quantity and keep in air tight jar to future use . We usually add fennel seeds more then other to increase its flavor and aroma .
